Job Title: Production Operations Manager

Pay: CA$53 per hour


Job Overview:

A well-established Canadian sauna manufacturer with over 50 years of experience producing custom cedar wood cabins, along with the electrical sauna heaters, and steam sauna generators for residential and commercial market across North America. We are seeking an experienced Production Operations Manager to oversee multi-team production operations, ensure quality and safety standards, and implement process improvements. This role requires leadership, strategic planning, and coordination across multiple departments, including adherence to ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple production teams, includes wood carpentry production, electrical machinery production & testing, electronic control test bench, shipping department, on-site installation & construction team, and field service team.
• Supervise and coordinate multiple team foreman and production staff.
• Develop, implement, and monitor production processes, focusing on efficiency, safety, product quality, and working environment dust control.
• Coordinate production activities with product engineering, layout design, and service departments to ensure operational alignment.
• Responsible for Inventory management and monitoring, procurement of parts, and shipping operations.
• Oversight of all site activities, coordinates installation, contractors, safety and scheduling.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, manufacturing 5S system, and internal quality control systems, followed with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Maintain detailed production records, reports, and documentation for management review.
• Mentor and train team foreman to develop leadership capabilities within the organization.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of production management experience in manufacturing industries, such as electrical equipment, machinery production or wood product manufacturing. Experience in both electrical equipment and wood product manufacturing is considered as a strong asset.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-team operations and cooperations.
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability of production planning, quality control, in compliance with Ontario or Canada safety standards.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems and 5S lean system, experience implementing internal quality audits.
• Proven ability to analyze production performance and implement process improvements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Expertise in inventory tracking and control system.
• Knowledge of construction rules and safety requirement, personal safety certification is an asset.
• Read CAD drawing and blueprint, ability of CAD software is an asset.
• Strong computer skills of MS office, outlook email, clouds related system for daily works.
