JOB POSTING: Retail Store Supervisor (NOC 62010)

 Location: Burnaby, BC

Salary: CDN $24.50/hr for 30 to 40 hours a week

Terms of employment: Permanent / Full time

 Start date: As soon as possible

Job requirements: -

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to 2 years

Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people

Job Duties:

• Supervise and co-ordinate sales staff and cashiers
• Assign sales workers to duties and prepare work schedules
• Authorize payments by cheque and the return of merchandise
• Sell merchandise to customers
• Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
• Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise
• Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
• Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast paced environment; Work under pressure; Combination of sitting, walking, standing for extended periods.
