- Responsibilities:

- Ensuring the boy, (diagnosed with (ASD) and expressive and receptive language delay. ) feels secure and well-supported
- Developing and implementation of boy’s care plans: A special educational needs that the applicant will need to work in tandem with parents and therapists, as well as any other care staff, to tailor a care plan for boy’s specific needs and to achieve educational and developmental goals
- Managing medical requirements
- Assisting with daily living skills: tasks like eating, dressing or personal hygiene will need to be addressed
- Organising activities and outings: should plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities and outings that cater to boy’s interests and abilities, ensuring he is engaging and enjoyable
- Supporting the boy in building social skills and fostering relationships to develop friendships and connections with peers.
- Maintaining open communication with the family including updates on the boy's progress, discussing any concerns, and collaborating on strategies to support his development.
Requirements:
- Secondary school education is required
- One year previous care or care support experience is required
- Must be able to speak and write in English. Other languages will be an asset.
- Current non-criminal record
- Must have Frist Aid certificate
- Completion of a training program in care or related field is required
