Job Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly handled and secured
- Arrange and carry all necessary permits and documentation for transporting goods, especially across international routes
- Safely operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods to designated locations
- Check the vehicle’s condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment, to ensure safe operation
- Pay and receive payments for goods
- Conduct minor brake adjustments to maintain proper vehicle safety and performance
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and compliant
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks to keep the vehicle in good working condition
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch regarding routes, updates, and issues
- Maintain accurate records of cargo, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
- Cover and secure cargo properly to protect it from damage and ensure safe transportation
Eligibility Requirements:
- A Secondary school graduation certificate is the minimum educational requirement for this job.
- No experience required, on-the-job training will be provided
- A valid regular driver's license is often required to start the hiring process.
- AZ class license preferably be required.
- Background checks to ensure that one has no disqualifying criminal history
- A good understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards is crucial
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for understanding road signs, and regulations, andeffectively communicating with others.

- Salary : $36.00 to 40.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 hours per week
- Overtime :1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
- Vacation Pay : 4% on every pay period
