Job description

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time 

Salary: $41.00 hourly, for 40 hours per week.

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Locations: 

Primary business locations:

• 3090 Barons Rd, Nanaimo, BC, V9T 4B5
• 401 – 50 Burnhamthorpe Rd W, Mississauga, ON, L5B 3C2
• Various construction sites across British Columbia and/or Ontario, depending on project needs

Education: No formal education is required

Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience as an ironworker, reinforcing steel worker, or in structural steel installation

Languages: Written and spoken English are required 

Required Skills & Experience (must be clearly demonstrated):

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications
• Experience handling, positioning, and securing reinforcing steel bars (rebar) or structural steel components
• Experience working with rigging, hoisting equipment, and signalling crane operators
• Experience tying rebar, assembling steel structures, or installing metal frameworks
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely in a construction environment

Work Environment Requirements:

• Must be comfortable working:
• At heights
• Outdoors in varying weather conditions
• In physically demanding conditions (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)

Language:

• English (spoken and written) required for safety and communication on job sites
