Salary-                                                                   $22.00 Per hour

Terms of employment-                                       Permanent employment, Full time, 40 to 44 hours per week

Starts-                                                                    As soon as possible

Workplace information-                                     On site - Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Job Requirements

Languages-                                                           English

Education-                                                            College/CEGEP or equivalent experience

Experience-                                                          1 to less than 7 months

Job Responsibilities

Collect samples and perform other laboratory tests

Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery

Produce diagnostic radiographs

Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery

Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian

Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian

Identify livestock

Counsel clients on animal health care

May perform a variety of office management and clerical duties

Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry

Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals

Provide wound and bandage care
