Employer: Coast Building Supplies Ltd., Surrey

Location: 8484 128 St, Surrey, BC V3W 4G3

Salary: CDN $36.60 for 30 to 40 hours a week

Terms of employment: Permanent / Full time

Start date: As soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Job Duties:

• Plan routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS equipment, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions;
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes and cold storage
• Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Administer bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain log books
• Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices and on-board computers
• Perform emergency roadside repair

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
