Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and setup of paving sites, including site clearing and material handling
• Operate heavy equipment such as rollers, skid steers, or loaders under supervision to support paving activities
• Spread and level asphalt using shovels, rakes, or power tools to ensure even surfaces
• Support the installation of asphalt overlays, patches, and repairs with precision and care
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to all safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear at all times
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment around the worksite
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards

Requirements

• Previous construction experience is preferred but not mandatory; a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential
• Ability to operate or learn heavy equipment operation safely and effectively
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Knowledge of paving processes or willingness to acquire skills through on-the-job training
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
• Commitment to safety practices and attention to detail in all tasks
