Job Position: - UPHOLSTERER (NOC 63221)

Location: Surrey, BC

Wage: $24.00 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week
Position: Permanent, Full-Time

JOB DUTIES

• Discuss upholstery fabric, colour and style with customers
• Provide cost estimates for upholstering furniture and other items
• Replace worn-out webbing, springs and other furniture parts
• Lay out, cut, fabricate and install upholstery
• Tack, glue or sew ornamental trim, braids or buttons
• Operate sewing machines or sew by hand

REQUIREMENTS

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
• Experience in furniture upholstery and repair
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work in a combination of sitting, standing and walking
