Job Title: Home Support Worker

No. of Vacancies: 1

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time.

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.

Work Location:  3507 Fraser Street Vancouver, British Columbia V5V 4C5

Wage rate: $24.50/hour for 32 to 40 hours/week.

Education: Secondary (high) School Graduation Certificate.

Experience: Will Train.

Language: English.

Job Duties: 

• Provide personal care such as showering, shaving, and dressing.
• Assist with walking, mobility, and exercise routines, including stretching.
• Administer medications as directed and assist with medication reminders.
• Perform routine health-related tasks, such as changing non-sterile dressings.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive and caring environment.
• Maintain general upkeep of the home, including cleaning, restocking supplies, and tidying living areas.
• Accompanying on short walks or other outdoor activities, weather permitting.
• Accompanying to doctor’s appointments, errands, and social activities as needed.
• Monitor clients' well-being and report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a safe living environment by assisting with fall prevention, managing hazards, and ensuring his living area is secure.
