Job Description: Retail Store Supervisor

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of front-of-house sales staff and cashiers.
• Assign work duties, prepare weekly staff schedules, and ensure optimal floor coverage.
• Authorize payments, product returns, exchanges, and resolve customer service escalations.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, product displays, and promotional materials.
• Manage inventory levels, coordinate stock orders with suppliers, and oversee receiving.
• Train new employees in sales procedures, register operation, customer service, and safety standards.
• Prepare daily sales reports, cash reconciliation sheets, and operational summaries for management.
• Ensure compliance with provincial occupational health and safety regulations.

Employment Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school required; college diploma in business or retail is an asset.
• 1 to 2 years of supervisory or senior retail/hospitality experience.
• Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling software, and spreadsheet reporting.
