Job Description
Kuljeet Gill is looking for a permanent full-time Caregiver for look after their Children at their residence in Surrey, BC.
Duties to Perform:

  • Supervise and care for two children, aged 8 and 13, at the family’s residence.
  • Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks appropriate for both children’s ages and needs.
  • Perform housekeeping duties related to child care, including washing, folding, and organizing the children’s clothes.
  • Clean up after meals and maintain clean and organized areas used by the children.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy home environment for both children.
  • Teach and encourage the children to follow proper personal hygiene routines, including bathing, brushing teeth, handwashing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and address the children’s health, hygiene, and general well-being, and inform parents of any concerns.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate routines and discipline for both children according to the methods and guidelines requested by the parents.
  • Provide age-appropriate educational and recreational activities for the children, including games, crafts, reading, educational exercises, and outings.
  • Assist the 8-year-old child with homework, reading, school assignments, and age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Assist the 13-year-old child with homework, school assignments, projects, studying, and other educational needs when required.
  • Encourage both children to develop independence, responsibility, good manners, and positive social and communication skills.
  • Organize activities that promote the children’s physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development.
  • Supervise the children during indoor and outdoor activities and ensure their safety at all times.
  • Communicate regularly with the parents regarding the children’s daily activities, progress, behavior, health, and any concerns.
  • Work with parents, educators, and other professionals, when required, to support the children’s development and address their individual needs.

Requirement for Job:
Completion of secondary school is required.
6 months of related experience is required OR Completion of at least 6 months or longer training program in child care or in a related field is required.

Good communication skills in English.

Criminal record check.

Nonsmoking individual.

Benefits:
The job is full-time, 30-40 hours per week (minimum 30 hours are guaranteed), Monday to Friday.

30 minutes paid meal break, 5 days of paid sick leave. 4% Vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period.
Free of cost in home accommodation can be provided, if needed. This is not the requirement of employment. We may help in finding suitable accommodation nearby, if needed.
