CONSTRUCTION PAINTERS

Salary: $40.00 per hour
Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 30–40 hours per week

We are currently seeking two (2) experienced Construction Painters to join our team. The successful candidates will have extensive experience in professional painting, surface preparation and finishing, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively on various construction projects.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Preparing, cleaning and sanding surfaces before painting.
• Repairing cracks, holes and damaged surfaces.
• Mixing paints to achieve the required colours and textures.
• Measuring, cutting and applying wallpaper and other wall fabrics.
• Erecting scaffolding and swing stages and attaching rigging.
• Applying paint, wallpaper and other finishing materials to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Performing drywall taping, patching and surface preparation.
• Using professional painting equipment, including brushes, rollers and multi-ratio pump spraying equipment.
• Applying specialized multicolour finishes and maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience.
• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Working at Heights training.
• Experience with brush painting, roller painting and multi-ratio pump spraying.
• Knowledge of drywall patching, surface preparation and specialized finishes.
• Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination and the ability to distinguish between colours.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including bending, crouching, kneeling and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Willingness to travel to different project locations.
• Must have personal tools and steel-toed safety boots.
• Strong teamwork, reliability, flexibility and customer service skills.

Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position involving work at various project locations. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors and at heights.

Working hours may include early mornings, mornings, daytime, weekends and flexible schedules, depending on project requirements.
