Guided by our brand promise — “Just Drive With Us” — we are seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join our service team in Port Coquitlam.

Position Details

Position: Automotive Service Technician
NOC: 72410
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 30 hours per week
Wage: CAD $38.50 per hour
Vacancies: 2
Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Location: Unit 114 – 1525 Broadway Street, Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 6P6
Work Setting: On site — business/industry; private company

Main Duties

• Review work orders and discuss work with the supervisor.
• Inspect motor in operation and road test motor vehicles.
• Test automotive systems and components.
• Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Confirm findings with the supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace a unit.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.

Qualifications

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
Trade certification as an Automotive Service Technician, or Red Seal endorsement, is an asset but not required (trade certification is voluntary in British Columbia).
Language of Work: English.
