Job Description

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of general farm workers and blueberry harvesting labourers.
• Oversee field preparation, clearing, planting, pruning, irrigation, fertilizing, and maintenance of blueberry crops.
• Supervise blueberry growing, harvesting, sorting, grading, packing, and other crop-related operations.
• Assign duties to farm workers and ensure all farming and harvesting activities are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Monitor blueberry crop growth, quality, and harvesting activities to ensure production standards are maintained.
• Ensure farm safety, sanitation, and biosecurity procedures are followed by all workers.
• Maintain quality control, production records, daily work logs, and harvesting reports.
• Train new farm workers in proper blueberry picking, handling, packing, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist in hiring farm workers and evaluate their work performance.
• Establish work schedules and coordinate labour requirements during planting, growing, and harvesting seasons.
