Location: City of York/Toronto, ON M5P 2X9

Salary: $20.85 hourly; 30–35 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time

Schedule: Day, Evening, Weekend; Flexible hours

Start date: As early as 2027/02/01

Work location: On site (no remote work)

Asset language: Mandarin (children speak fluent English; parent communicates primarily in Mandarin—ability to speak Mandarin or confidently use a translation tool is required for effective parent communication)

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience: At least one year of formal, independent work experience as a nanny, in-home child caregiver, or in a similar role caring for two or more school-aged children.

Work site environment: Non-smoking, Scent-free

Work setting: Employer’s home

Responsibilities (Tasks)

- Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents

- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

- Travel with family on trips to assist with child supervision when required

- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

- Keep records of daily activities and health information as directed by parents

- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment in the home

- Organize games, outings, and recreational activities

- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks

- Supervise and care for two school-aged children (ages 10 and 13)

- Tend to children’s emotional well-being and support daily routines

- Assist with homework and educational activities

- Accompany children to and from school and extracurricular activities

Experience & Specialization

- Comfortable supervising and engaging school-aged children

- Able to care for multi-aged group of children if needed

Security & Safety

- References required

- Driver’s licence validity check

- Driving record (abstract)

- Drug test

- Reference required

Transportation/Travel Information

- Valid driver’s licence required

- Vehicle supplied by employer or mileage paid if using your own vehicle for transportation of children
