Food service supervisors supervise, direct and co-ordinate the activities of workers who prepare, portion and serve food. They are employed by hospitals and other health care establishments and by cafeterias, catering companies and other food service establishments.
This group performs some or all of the following duties:
English
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
1 to less than 7 months

Establish methods to meet work schedules, Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, Hire food service staff, Prepare budget and cost estimates, Address customers' complaints or concerns
Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, Estimate and order ingredients and supplies, Ensure food service and quality control, Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, Prepare and submit reports, Prepare food order summaries for the chef, Must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres, Supervise and check assembly of trays, Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys, Establish work schedules
